Giraffe and Elephant Will Be a Book

If you happened to get the Publishers Lunch Weekly Deluxe today, you may have noticed this little blurb under the “Deal News” section:

Paul Gude’s GIRAFFE AND ELEPHANT, about a silent giraffe and a lovably sassy elephant, to Kevin Lewis at Disney-Hyperion, for publication in Summer 2013, by John Rudolph at Dystel & Goderich Literary Management (World).

If you don’t get the Publishers Lunch Weekly Deluxe, you’ll have to just take my word for it.

Needless to say, I’m very excited.

Thanks to John Rudolph at Dystel & Goderich Literary Management for being amazing, and Kevin Lewis for welcoming me to the Disney family with such enthusiasm. Also, a special shout-out to G&E superfan Jennifer Bonnell for helping John and I find each other. I’m thankful for all the help I’ve had to get to this point, especially from my wonderful wife and daughter who have always been generous with their love and support.

Thanks to all the fans of G&E for keeping me afloat with their good wishes. I think you’ll be pleased with what’s to come.

I was looking through an old live journal’s memory posts, and got nostalgic for Giraffes and Elephants and was looking to see if I could find them anywhere because I think seeing them would make me feel better.

Learning that they will be in a book made me feel way better than just plain old better!
